Priyanka’s academic awards include Principal’s Scholar 4.0 Award, Academic Honors Diploma, President’s Award for Education Excellence, South Central Indiana Leaders of Tomorrow, National Honor Society, Leadership Opportunities Through Service, 2013 Conference Indiana Scholar Athlete, Science Olympiad, Top Performer in Indiana Mathematics League, T.S.A. Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics & Science, Excellence in English W131 College Composition, Herald-Times Scholastic Stars Award Winner, A.P. Scholar with Distinction, National A.P. Scholar, National Merit Finalist, National Merit Scholar, National Merit Scholarship; Indiana University Wells Scholarship Nominee, Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame Award, Wendy Larissa Ware Inspirational Award. She is also valedictorian of her senior class. Athletically, she is the 2013 H-T Girls’ Swimmer of the Year, state swimming finals as an individual. She made it out to the 500 freestyle despite being quite ill and also anchored the 400 free relay to state. She leaves with school records in the 500 free (5:10.26), as well as marks in the 200 and 400 free relays. She was a four-time first-team all-area pick as the top 200 and 500 free swimmer. This year, she was 21st at state in the 500 free and went a team-best 54.09 to anchor the 400 free relay to 19th. She will attend University of Pennsylvania on a Coordinated Jerome Fisher Dual-Degree Program in Management and Technology.
