- An annual youth baseball festival, the “Bud Damon Jamboree,” still honors him
- Also devoted many hours to other community services, serving as a driver for the Veterans Association and American Red Cross
- Also a regular contributor to the Red Cross Blood Bank, donating over 16 gallons through the years
