10th Indiana high school football coach to win 300 games … coached 3 state 4A champions, including two 14-0 South teams (1993, ’98) … other champion at Carmel (2007) – took Greyhounds to state championship game 4 straight yeas (2006-’09) … coached South 1987-2001 (143-31 record), returned in 2013, coaching the Panthers to 6 consecutive sectional titles before retiring in 2019 … 4-sport athlete at Southport, then Martinsville … graduated from St. Joseph’s College as school’s second all-time leading tackler … twice coached on staffs at IU, coaching tight ends for Gerry DiNardo (2002-04) and offensive line for Bill Lynch 2010 … 58-14 as Carmel coach (2006-’09) … inducted Indiana Football Hall of Fame 2016 … nominated for 2020 national coach by National High School Athletics Coach Association.
