Alex St. John – Bloomington High School North – Soccer

Honors: The Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools, Laura Childs Grant; Academic Scholar, BPA 1st Place at State in Human Resource Management, BPA 4th Place at State in Advanced Interview Skills, Conference IN Scholar Athletes — Soccer, Leaders of Tomorrow, L.O.T.S. Senior, Scholastics Art and Writing Competition — One Gold Key, Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships full tuition, IU Prestige Scholarship $16,000. Alex seeks a career in the medical field. She served as president of the Student Athletic Board and as a co-president of the North chapter of Habitat for Humanity. She captained the soccer team.

 

Angela Hacker – Edgewood High School – Volleyball, Basketball, Track

Honors: Valedictorian, Academic Honors Diploma, Top Ten, National Honor Society, Superintendent’s Award, Top Senior Science Department Award, U.S. Army Athlete Award, U.S. Marines Distinguished Athlete Award, Advanced Placement Scholarship, Edgewood Dollars for Scholars Scholarship, Ivy Tech Valedictorian Scholarship, Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship, DePauw University Tuition Remission Scholarship, John W. Beckley Memorial Scholarship. She is a member of the Key Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletics. She hopes to further her academic career in the medical field

 

Bryan Wells – Edgewood High School – Tennis

Honors: Academic Honors Diploma, Top Ten, National Honor Society, Superintendent’s Award, IU Wells Scholar Certificate of Merit, Northside Exchange Club Student of the Year, Hilly Hundred Scholarship, Duke Energy Scholarship, Kappa Kappa Kappa Scholarship, Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship, Ronald Reagan Memorial Scholarship, Ball State Presidential Scholarship. Selected Exchange Student of the Year for the entire State of Indiana and a member of the H-T’s All-Scholastic Team. Wells also is an Eagle Scout and a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club. He also performed for the award-winning Edgewood marching band. He plans to study physical therapy at Ball State.

 

Michael Bower – Bloomington High School South – Basketball, Football

Honors: Principal’s Scholar Award, Academic Honors Diploma, President’s Award for Education Excellence, Conference Indiana Academic Award, Dance Marathon Exec, LOTS Senior, Northside Exchange Youth of the Month, Outstanding Achievement in English, Outstanding Leadership and Service in Student Council, Outstanding Leadership Sounds of South, Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Pat Aikman Character and Leadership Award $750, IU Prestige Scholarship $4,000 per year, U.S. Marines Distinguished Athlete Award, $500 Ida G. Medlyn Counselor Award, $1,000 Kappa Kappa Kappa Scholarship. Played quarterback and running back for the South football team the past two years and was a key contributor on South’s 2011 state championship basketball team. He is a member of the National Honor Society, student council, advisory board, Sounds of South and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was the senior executive for the dance marathon. He has been accepted to IU and hopes to pursue business.

 

Michaela Hull – Bloomington High School South – Track, Gymnastics, Cheerleading

Honors: Principal’s Scholar Award, Academic Honors Diploma, President’s Award for Education Excellence, Conference Indiana Academic Awards, Dance Marathon Exec, Leadership and Service Excellence: Vice President of National Honor Society, LOTS Senior, Women’s Sports Award, Twenty-first Century Scholars four years of undergraduate tuition. She was varsity cheerleader for three years. She was vice president of the National Honor Society, a student council member and publicity director for the dance marathon that raised money for Riley Children’s hospital. Organizations include Fellowship of Christian Athletes and BHSS Environmental Club. She would like to pursue orthopedics and sports medicine. She will attend Ball State University.

 

Sam Sheldon – Bloomington High School North – Football, Basketball

Honors: Academic Scholar, L.O.T.S. Senior, Leaders of Tomorrow, Conference IN Scholar Athletes — Football, Conference IN Scholar Athletes — Basketball, Cougar Leader, MCCSC Foundation Student Leadership Awards ($100), United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award, DePauw University Scholarship $204,520. Sheldon also is an H-T Scholastic All-Star and a member of many student organizations – Cougar Leader Council, Best Buddies, Leaders of Tomorrow and Campus Life. He would like to pursue a career in business.
